My husband and I were looking for a home and had already talked with one real estate agent who we felt didn’t take us seriously, so we decided to just pick a home we wanted to see and call the listing agent. I called Debby, and to my amazement she quickly called me back and could answer my questions without putting me on hold to look up information. It was a completely different attitude from the first person we had spoken with. She also was very polite and asked a lot of questions. When we first met Debby, she was very prepared, and I felt she didn’t judge us or pigeon hole us into one socioeconomic group or another. She listened to what we were looking for, and allowed me to tell her which homes we found online we wanted to see. She wasn’t pushy, was very flexible, and was willing to deal with our unique needs. All this was before we had financial preapproval or a formal contract in hand. Debby was great with email contact, text messages, and was easily reachable. If I had a question, she would find the answer. During the inspection of the new house we hit a snag, we needed a railing put up on 1,000 sq. feet of porch and we only had 2 days to do so due to the home’s bank issues. Debby called around for handi-people and got someone within 24 hours to put the railing up, in one day, without a contract, and on good faith so we could close. I think Debby did a great job throughout the whole process, and for all of our quirks and special requirements, it wasn’t long before we found the house we were looking for.
